Monitoring on public procurement on local government level No.6

The Centre for Civil Communications (CCC) is regularly monitoring the implementation of public procurement procedures in Macedonia from 2008 onwards, i.e. from the entry in effect of the new Law on Public Procurement, drafted in line with the European Commission’s Directives.

The purpose of monitoring activities is to assess whether and to what extent state institutions adhere to the general principles underlying public spending, as stipulated in the Law: competition among companies, equal treatment and nondiscrimination, transparency and integrity in implementing public procurements, as well as cost-effective and efficient use of public funds.
