It is expected the project to result in the following:
– To empower local CSOs through training, coaching, financial support and networking to conduct activities aimed at reducing corruption and increasing transparency, accountability and integrity of local institutions.
– To reduce corruption and increase accountability in public spending through monitoring current practices in public procurements, detecting corruption generators in procurement phases and implementing relevant measures for improvement.
– To enable public-private dialogue between local governments and SMEs in the process of policy making aimed at building trust and enhancing local economic development.
– To improve public finance management of local institutions through better and regular communication with citizens and the business community and improved internal rules and procedures.
– To enhance public pressure for greater transparency, accountability, and integrity of local institutions through establishing a platform of local media provided with the necessary knowledge and resources.
– To increase the quality of service delivery at local level through enhancing integrity and control mechanisms of local institutions.
