The corruption in this area is generated by the sluggishness of the administration, the lack of transparent procedures, the insufficiently clear and harmonized procedures and criteria, as well as the wide room for arbitrary deciding. The amount of the bribe depends on the type of service requested by the citizen.
The experts Vanja Mihajlova and Nikola Tupancevski, Ph.D. participated at the workshop, but representatives from the State Anti – corruption Committee, the Chamber of Commerce of Macedonia, the State Audit Bureau, the Customs authorities, the City of Skopje, and others expressed their opinions as well.
